Give Something Back relies on donations to keep our doors open. Regular donations give us the greatest flexibility and planning security, but even smaller one-off donations have an impact.
We have valid charity status and all donations are tax-deductible. You’ll receive a donation receipt.

Give Something Back to Berlin is part of the
Yes. We are registered at the Court of Charlottenburg district of Berlin. For donations above 300 Euros, we will send you a donation certificate allowing you to deduct your contribution from your annual taxes according to German Law. For smaller donations, a bank statement is sufficient for tax purposes.
GSBTB works with partners from within and outside of Berlin aligned with our core values of diversity, empowerment, creativity, innovation, and solidarity. We don’t accept donations from the following industries: tobacco, weapons, mineral, oil, gas, or other extractive industries.
Costs of renting project spaces, art supplies for children, big community events - your donation will help us to create meaningful spaces for connection and growth. We allocate donations based on need. However, if you are interested in donating to one of our specific projects or even have a project idea, contact us. We are happy to brainstorm with you on supporting causes that are dear to you. GSBTB is certified by the Initiative für Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (initiative for transparency in civic societies). You can be sure that 100% of your donation goes directly into keeping our offers running, free, and accessible.

Financial contributions allow us to allocate resources where they are needed most and enable us to stay flexible. We are also happy to accept IT donations (gently used laptops, etc.) and create partnerships that give us access to more space for our activities. We might also accept functional and non-outdated items and materials that could be useful for our activities. If you want to donate supplies or items, please reach out to hello@gsbtb.org.
